Meet The Board

Founder and Chairman
Vocational Counselor at Jobbcentrum, Västerås Stad

Frida is the founder of UniFemmes and has a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Study and Career Guidance from Stockholm university. She has many years of experience in the fields of HR, recruitment, training and competence development, and is currently working at the labor market unit at Västerås stad.

I started UniFemmes because I wanted to fix a problem in the society where I felt I could contribute. I want UniFemmes to be a part of the movement where people are truly welcomed into the Swedish society and seen for their skills and personality more than anything else. I strongly believe that relationships are the key to successful integration, thus we need to create places where people can meet, connect and get to know one another. That is what UniFemmes is all about.

I chose to be a part of UniFemmes because I have a strong belief in integration and that the access to a good integration into a new society, place and culture goes through work and the social network that it creates.

Jenny has her background within Finance. After finishing a university degree in Business and Economics at Uppsala University, she started as a finance consultant before moving on to the corporate sector. Jenny has mainly been working with scale-up companies and has a broad experience within the finance function.

I became part of UniFemmes at an early stage of the network. Building relationships is a central part of integrating into a new society and especially when it comes to getting into the employment market. Relationships are also important for the social part of integration which is another strong factor to buildning a secure base. When Frida mentioned that she was forming this network I knew I wanted to be part of making this become possible and support her in this.

For me, social health is just as important as physical exercise, adequate nutrition keeping one’s blood pressure in check. I joined UniFemmes because I believe that it creates a unique social environment for women, both new in Sweden and for the locals. A positive, dynamic and encouraging social network is an important cornerstone for well-being, carrier and personal growth and UniFemmes is just that. 🙂

Patricia is an expert in sustainable consumption and production with 12 years of experience in research and managing international projects to implement the sustainable development goals in developing countries.

I joined Unifemmes partly to expand my network in Sweden but also because I experienced the journey to enter the Swedish society and feel at home in your new country to be very lonely at times. UniFemmes offered me a safe space and a support group of amazing women! I want to give a bit back and be there for other women that may be feeling the same way.
